In the spirit of carnivals from around the world, the Auckland International Carnival is an event that brings Auckland together. People of all backgrounds, cultures and ages will celebrate what makes us unique in the city that has brought us together.
The Carnival aims to give Auckland communities an exciting, fun event to share creativity and values that make Auckland a great place to live.
The Carnival aims to attract more tourists and international carnival fans each year to attend and participate. Carnivals around the world attract tourists and develop many local employment opportunities as well as providing high quality entertainment.

The Auckland International Carnival is on
Saturday October 15, 2011
The event is free, open to everyone and will be a truly ‘kiwi’ carnival parade.
The project partners are the Glen Innes Business Association, Natural Field (E-PACS) and the Auckland Regional Migrant Services.

The event will be co-managed by the Glen Innes Business Association in the
Glen Innes town centre at the time of rugby world cup.
Glen Innes is a multicultural and developing location with great public
transportation and easily accessible to motorway travellers.
The 2010 Carnival received a huge level of community interest and support
and included a cultural community stage, carnival costume parade,
carnival kids zone and a variety of international foods.

Parade Route: Starts Eastview Road>Line Road>Taniwha Street>Maybury Rd roundabout>Apirana Ave>McDonalds’ Car park then ends on Line Road Carpark (Between Police Station & Library in Glen Innes).

Glen Innes Village is only 13 minutes away by train from the heart of Auckland’s CBD.
BUS: Regular Metrolink bus services operate from Britomart Transport Center to Glen Innes via Parnell Rd /Remuera Rd / Khyber Pass Rd.
TRAIN: Regular train services operate from Britomart Transport Center (at Takutai Square) to Papakura via Glen Innes
